Cyclades Islands: Route among the Aegean Islands, where it is stillpossible to unearth authentic places, where nature dominates and traditions endure.

The Cyclades archipelago is the very essence of Greece

The bays hidden by the clear water, the Chora sprouting from the hills where white houses with blue window frames reign, the ancient ruins of myth, the lively harbors and cozy outdoor taverns. The Islands Cyclades wind through the Aegean Sea in a circle around Delos, the sacred island of Apollo, and each has its own soul: the best known and most festive are Santorini and Mykonos, the most hidden and wild are Folegandros e Amorgos, the island of sirtaki, Sifnos e Koufonisia are regarded as some of the most beautiful Greek resorts

Nautical bases for the Cyclades Islands

  • Vedi tutti

  • Alimos Marina

  • Lavrion Olympic Marina

  • Mykonos

1How to reach the starting bases?
The port of Lavrion, which is 1 hour from Athens airport, is very convenient to start the journey by sea. The nautical base can be reached by car or cab or by public transportation Ktel Attikis. From Alimos, there is, on the other hand, approximately 40 miles of sailing before reaching the Cyclades archipelago, this can be inconvenient on the way back due to sea conditions.
2Cruise tips
Sailing and catamaran travel is the best way to discover the golden beaches and beautiful cliffs of the Greek archipelago. Also, despite the very large number of boaters who like to spend their vacations here, you will easily find beautiful moorings and anchorages. July and August are the months when the Meltemi, the strong wind from the northeast, is constantly blowing. We recommend a cruise at this time of year only if you are already experienced or if accompanied by a local skipper. June and September provide pleasant temperatures and gentler marine weather conditions.

KEA

Points of interest:
  • Poleis
  • Voukari

The first island encountered, it is famous for its magnificent landscape of verdant valleys. A beautiful mooring is a Poleis, south of the island. Before leaving, drop anchor in the fishing village of Vourkari.

SERIFOS

It has managed to retain its authentic charm

This island with a relaxed atmosphere is wonderfully wild and sparsely populated; life is concentrated in the main port of Livadi and the picturesque Chora full of taverns, colorful boutiques and trendy bars. Behind the beach at Platys Gialos, the Chrysoloras winery (which offers tantalizing tastings) produces excellent organic whites. The chickpea soup ("revythada") in particular is worth tasting, as are the seafood and sausages. Beaches are of golden sand or colorful pebbles.

SIFNOS

Traditional island

Home to ancient fortresses and long beaches, it has more than 200 churches, some picturesque and unique. It has a long tradition in terracotta pottery production of and excellent cuisine so much so that it hosts the most important culinary event in the Greek islands, the Cyclades Gastronomic Festival. Sifnos is an island still little regarded by mass tourism, perfect a relaxing vacation; is worth a visit to the village of Kastro, probably the most beautiful on the island.

Points of interest:
  • KLeftiko
  • Sarakiniko
  • Firopotamos

MILOS

Milos has a variety of beaches and cliffs all different from each other.

Sarakiniko is a major tourist attraction on Milos because of the pearlite that gives these rocks a brilliant white color between which a tongue of azure sea is wedged.

Kleftiko, made of volcanic rocks, offers a magical landscape as well as a great place to enjoy the clear water and sunshine. Firopotamos is a quaint fishing village overlooked by characteristic syrmata, colorful sheds overlooking the sea

You can enjoy the many restaurants, cafes and bars on the island, and many stores and nightclubs near the main marina.

PAROS

The third largest island in the Cyclades rich in history and culture.
Points of interest:
  • Lefkes
  • Noussa
  • Paroikia
  • Pounda

Lefkes, is the most characteristic village on the island, ideal for a relaxing stroll. Naoussa is a very wide bay and the island's most important tourist resort, chic and worldly.

The port of Paroikia is a good landing place and is a charming town with a charming waterfront that teems with people strolling in the evening. On the beach at Pounda, on the other hand, there are wild legendary parties.

MYKONOS

Greece's most popular island, it has incredible appeal thanks to its iconic windmills and white beaches, postcard-perfect little houses that slope down from the Chora toward the azure sea, and, of course, the nightlife of the discos.

The rocky north coast is very different from the sandy south and here we find the most interesting coves such as Ftelia, Korfos, Panormos and Agios sostis bays, the wildest. Tourlos is a coastal village full of seaside taverns and bars and home to the new port of Mykonos.

The iconic beaches are Paradise Beach and Super Paradise Beach, which, while set in striking natural scenery, are famous for music and parties.

SMALL CYCLADES

They are a small archipelago of six islands and reefs occupying the stretch of sea between Naxos, Ios and Amorgos.

They are the center of the Aegean and represent that still-beating corner of purity and tradition.

Iraklia, Schinoussa, Koufonissi, Keros and Donoussa, are still unspoiled places full of beautiful bays, an ideal destination for those seeking peace and relaxation.
