The Egadi Islands are an archipelago of three islands (Favignana, Levanzo and Marettimo) and two islets
It is located about 7 km from the west coast of Sicily, between Trapani and Marsala. Thanks to the splendid crystalcrystalline waters represents Europe's largest Marine Protected Area, a destination for snorkeling, diving and especially sailing enthusiasts. The history of this part of Sicily is linked to the ancient tradition of tuna fishing, practiced with tuna nets, which can still be admired on these islands. For scuba diving enthusiasts, the Egadi Islands certainly have a lot to offer: caves such as the striking and eerie Cathedral, shallows, wrecks, walls and landslides, which together with the crystal-clear water and the large presence of fish, will leave you pleasantly enchanted

FAVIGNANA
Favignana is the main one of the small Sicilian archipelago; the small town, which is really worth a visit, with its square, the Florio palace, the tuna fishery.
In summer, several piers are set up for mooring, and there are many coves to visit.
Cala Rotonda is a fantastic location to admire "Ulysses' Arch," a distinctive natural stone arch. Cala Azzurra, facing southeast is characterized by a perfect combination of sand and rocks, is among the best known and most popular beaches on the island.
Cala Rossa faces north and its cliffs are world-famous, earning it entry into the top rankings of Italy's most beautiful beaches. Worth visiting are the Bue Marino tuff quarries and the Grotta degli Innamorati, one of the most striking places on the island
In summer there is a small hippy market every day except Wednesday and Thursday from late morning to evening, with stalls selling fashion items, accessories, handicrafts and more.

LEVANZO
What gives the area an aura of absolute uniqueness more than anything else is the presence of a vast amount of limestone caves, hidden among the inlets of the rugged coastline, making this island a perfect destination for diving enthusiasts.
Levanzo was once inhabited by Paleolithic civilizations, as evidenced by graffiti and the remains of the Genovese Cave.
Cala Dogana: this is where you arrive once docked at the small port of Levanzo; the small hovels clustered in the little village of the same name represent a fantastic panorama.
Cala Fredda: accessible from both land and sea, it has a peculiar natural slide and a pebble beach.
Minnola Cove: for divers, this is one of the key stops to see the intact remains of the amphorae of a very old Roman vessel.

MARETTIMO
Heading west is Marettimo, which is a couple of hours' sail from the other islands and is considered the wildest. Marettimo has an unparalleled natural heritage, especially in terms of fauna (such as the monk seal and the storm bird) and flora. Here you can admire breathtaking landscapes. Marettimo, enchanting in its architectural homogeneity is made up of white cube-shaped houses with colorful windows clustered around the small harbor. The island has no passable roads although it is worth a picturesque walk to Monte Falcone.
A large part of the island on the western side is an integral reserve, and the beautiful caves can only be visited by authorized boats that leave from the marina.
Punta Troia is the rock on which stands the picturesque castle, built by the Spanish in the 17th century, an ancient lookout point over the sea to protect the island. On its west side, at Scalo Maestro, you will find a buoy field used for mooring; anchoring is also allowed. From here it is possible to visit the beautiful cave of the Pipa
ITINERARY FROM PALERMO
The Egadi Islands are about 55 miles from the port of Palermo, or about 9 hours of sailing at an average speed of 6 knots. Setting sail from Palermo on a Saturday afternoon, it is possible to stop at one of these places:

CASTELLAMARE DEL GOLFO
On the harbor is the majestic Sea Castle, originally located on a rocky outcrop connected by a drawbridge to the mainland. The best mood to discover the city and its magical atmosphere is to walk around its narrow streets and stairways, looking for picturesque views and beautiful churches. The Port is the heart of the city, it is a place of extraordinary beauty, this is where bars, restaurants and nightclubs overlook, this is where the commercial life and the sparkling summer nightlife takes place, a walk to the Castle is not to be missed.

SCOPEL
É localitỳ on the northwest coast of Sicily famous for its natural beauty and authentic atmosphere. The recommended anchorage is in the bay near the Faraglioni of Scopello, large rock formations emerging from the sea, a true paradise for those who love to explore the seabed. The Tonnara di Scopello is an ancient tuna-fishing structure, now transformed into a tourist and cultural site. You can approach it from the sea to admire it or disembark for a visit.

GYPSY RESERVE
É a small pearl located in Sicily, in the western part of the Gulf of Castellamare. There are not many words to describe it: with its postcard-perfect landscapes it absolutely must be visited at least once in a lifetime. The area is very wide and indented, full of beautiful coves where to stop like Cala dell'Uzzo, considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Italy

SAN VITO LO CAPO
Post at the NW end of Sicily, it is a truly pleasant town, equipped with both a harbor and a beautiful and convenient roadstead. Lhe beach è a large expanse of white sandca lapped by a turquoise sea with a Caribbean flavor. Just outside San Vito is the beach of Macari (the name of the village of the same name. San Vito lo Capo is also famous for hosting the Cous Cous Fest in late September, so don't leave San Vito without trying the famous cous cous fish.

TRAPANI
We recommend that you take some time to visit the city of Trapani; the center can be easily visited on foot. The historic center of Trapani is dotted with historic buildings of great artistic value, evidence of different styles and periods. Via Giovanni Battista Fardella is the city's main shopping street, where there are numerous cafes, restaurants, and stores. It is recommended to try the specialties local specialties such as pesto alla Trapanese. About a 20-minute drive away you can also visit Erice, a small medieval town that will take you back in time with its thousand-year history. We recommend you try Le Genovesi di Erice: typical sweets made of short pastry filled with delicate custard.
